Congressman Paul Gosar, D.D.S. (AZ-09) issued the following statement in response to news reports that the Yuma Medical Center is spending over $20 million in uncompensated care for illegal aliens crossing the southern border.
“Illegal aliens bring crime, drugs, and human trafficking; they deplete resources meant for American citizens. In Yuma, illegal aliens have flooded our community in search of ‘free’ healthcare for over a year, overwhelming the Yuma Medical Center.
“While Joe Biden turns a blind eye to the consequences of his disastrous open border policies, Yuma is ground zero and our only medical center is in a financial crisis forcing some local residents, including pregnant mothers, to be turned away.
The only solution is to seal the border and deport all illegal aliens,” concluded Congressman Gosar.
